Welcome to the Technology Risk Management unit.

Technology Risk Management`s ambition is to take on complex tasks and bring them from idea phase to realisation. In parallel, we increase risk awareness and continuously build structures and procedures that give Nordea Technology management an excellent quality support.

As the Technology Risk Manager supporting Technology Control Management in Nordea, You will work in the 1st Line of Defence and help driving initiatives to increase technology control awareness, and ensure prudent risk management through technology control governance, design and assessment. 

What you will be doing:

• Drive the design, continuous improvement and assessment of Nordea’s technology controls with business units to achieve accuracy, consistency and aggregation of technology risks
• Understand standard technology risks and issues of varied complexity within business units, and partner with them to evaluate and test effectiveness of controls
• Perform control testing and interpret results to identify trends and issues related to technology controls across business units
• Collaborate with business units, 2nd and 3rd Line of Defense as necessary to drive the documentation of new or existing controls and their testing methodologies for aligning with applicable policies, industry standards and external regulations (like DORA)
• Make recommendations and provide practical solutions for the update of technology controls, policy, procedure and risk/control documentation
• Ensure thorough evidence management of the technology controls assessment and testing
• Collaborate with other team members to enhance the company GRC system
• Regularly provide an overview of the control landscape and how they have been performing over time in order to address gaps identified in technology control management
• Communicate effectively with recipients at all levels in Nordea to secure necessary input, anchoring and optimising the decision-making process, as well as holistic approach and knowledge sharing, and enhance risk and compliance culture

Your experience and background: 

• High working capacity, solid track record and ability to deliver quality solutions on time
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and finds it interesting and rewarding to work in a cross-border Nordics & Poland organisation
• Be self-motivated, quality-driven and able to work autonomously
• Have a positive attitude, take on responsibilities and be an engaged and committed team player
• Stakeholder management skills and communication skills to provide partnership and insights with different teams
• You possess problem solving skills and can understand/explain complex issues
• Bachelor’s in Information Technology (or business): Master’s degree would be a plus
• 5 – 10 years of experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or Technology Risk Management
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Formal certifications, knowledge or practical experience with ISO 27001/2, ITGC, COBIT, CISM (or similar) would be a plus
• Understanding of general ICT regulations, industry standards like NIST / CIS / Mitre Framework / or similar
